As most of you know, Ronald Dworkin, the American philosopher and legal scholar, passed from this life last week. He was Professor of Law and Philosophy at New York University, Emeritus Professor of Jurisprudence at University College London, and taught at Yale Law School and the University of Oxford.
He is one of my favorite scholars of Jurisprudence to read; the methodology and terminology reminds me of some of my studies of theology and philosophy in my PhD.
Some of his most well-known works are Law’s Empire, Taking Rights Seriously, and Freedom’s Law: The Moral Reading of the American Constitution.
