Christian Employee Should Not be Fired For Answering a Question

Mbuyi v Newpark Childcare (Shepherds Bush) Ltd [2015] ET 3300656/2014. A Tribunal held that the claimant had been discriminated against when she was fired for a supposed homophobic remark she made to a lesbian co-worker on the ground that she had been asked by the co-worker about her church and her views on her homosexuality.

 

Oxford University and Christian Theology

Criticism and outrage followed Oxford University’s decision not to require Christian theology courses beyond the first year. This doesn’t seem all that strange to me—a student gets a general introduction to it in the first year, and then decides whether they want to continue further studies later.
