“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” If all public and private religious gatherings are prohibited, then a major component of the First Amendment’s right to freedom of religion has just been deleted. That is just one example, far from the beginning or end. For the sake of safety and security you will continue to do what you are told, even when forsaking religious beliefs. This is nothing new. I can think of several instances in American history when the people have allowed such violations of freedom.
