The Association of Christian Schools International, a Colorado Springs-based organization founded in 1978 that aims to advance “excellence in Christian schools by enhancing the professional and personal development of Christian educators and providing vital support functions for Christian schools.” ACSI has over 2,200 member schools (K-12) in the U.S. and more than 2,785 member schools internationally, in addition to 70 member Christian colleges and universities. Tucker case represents something very precious to all Americans, and that is the freedom of religion. For this fundamental freedom to exist for anyone, religious organizations — such as churches, synagogues, and religious schools — must have the freedom to define their beliefs, the freedom to determine their standards of membership and conduct, and the freedom to decide who teaches, mentors, ministers and leads in their institutions without government intrusion.
